Applications
MAAX MA375U UPVC Silicone PTFE Lubricant Spray highly recommended for UPVC Door Window Tracks, seals, slides, Double and Single Windows Channels, UPVC Handles, Rollers, Sill Track, Top Track, Locks, Latches, Door Hinges, Blades and Bits. Also used on runners and guides, conveyor belts, transport rollers, rail systems of drawers, sliding ceilings, telescopic sliders, runners, bearings, o-rings, textile equipment, cutting tools and packing machines etc. The main uPVC parts that should be lubricated for smooth operation and durability are: Hinges: Lubricate the hinges regularly to prevent stiffness and squeaks. Locks: The locking mechanism needs lubrication to ensure easy locking and unlocking. Handles: The moving parts of handles should be lubricated to avoid stiffness. Sliding Track and Wheels: For uPVC sliding doors, lubricate the sliding track and wheels to enable smooth sliding. Weatherstripping and Rubber Gaskets: These should be cleaned and occasionally treated with silicone to maintain flexibility, though not lubricated with oils. Locking Cams: These require light lubrication to maintain proper locking function. Friction Hinges: Clean and lubricate friction hinges to ensure smooth operation. Bottom Track and Runner Arms (for sliding doors): These parts benefit from light lubrication for easy sliding.
NOTE:
Avoid using oil-based lubricants like WD-40 on uPVC parts as they attract dirt and dust, which can cause jamming or damage. Silicone-based lubricants or light machine oils are recommended. Regular lubrication is typically advised at least once or twice yearly or more frequently in harsh environments.
Additional maintenance includes cleaning the frames, seals, drainage holes, and ensuring all moving hardware is free of debris before lubrication. This helps prolong the life of uPVC windows and doors while maintaining smooth function.
